MoorLine Synthetic Fibre Rope

MoorLine

Specifically developed for offshore mooring applications. MoorLine is a tried and tested solution for deep water mooring and will set the standard for floating offshore wind. Polyester was a significant breakthrough for the use of synthetic fibre ropes in deep water mooring applications.

It has reduced weight and stiffness characteristics when compared to chain or steel wire ropes. MoorLine Polyester combines this with the high strength conversion of a parallel strand rope construction. Creating a perfect solution for deep water mooring. Floating offshore wind turbines bring about the requirement for new mooring solutions suitable for shallow water depths. MoorLine Nylon offers even lower stiffness characteristics than polyester therefore can further reduce mooring line loads.
