Haulage ropes

Using either a 6 or 8 round stranded rope, Bridon-Bekaert can design, manufacture, supply the full range of ropes for aerial haulage and funicular applications. For transport systems which do not follow the standard aerial ropeway configuration, for instance funiculars, different rope properties may often be required. These properties may take the form of increased abrasion resistance to withstand the wearing action of the ground pulleys, a greater linear mass to permit operation with an inverted profile track and perhaps other properties relating to steel tensile, rope rotation or corrosion protection.
