Multi layer ropes

If on a drum the rope is spooled in more than one layer, the variety of ropes being put into operation is reduced. For non-rotation resistant ropes, 6-strand rope in Langs Lay is the most common used rope on these applications. Rotation resistant ropes have a rounder shape and work more sufficient in a multi-layer spooling. When it comes to applications working in Ultra deep, the triangular strand ropes showing the best performance.
