Track ropes

The Majority of track ropes have one or more outer layers of full locked wires, which gives a construction offering superior performance under conditions of high capacity and high tread pressures. However, constructions offering a half locked outer cover are also available, usually for smaller installations where wheel loadings are low. The locked coil is the optimum construction for track rope service. Offering a smooth periphery, compact steel area and safety of operation. To achieve preformed characteristics a preformation is applied to the individual z-shaped wires if required. This preformation gives the wires almost that helix which it will have to take in the rope. Our preforming devices are unique.
