Case Study

 Situation: Bridon-Bekaert Ropes Group Australia’s Redbak® Ultra Hoist ropes are being trialed in various mines across Australia. The most recent performance data is for a Marion 8200 Dragline operating with 95mm rope.

Historically the mine has used our TUFF6 range of non plasticated ropes delivering an average rope life of ~4.8m BCMs. The mine was seeking to increase the rope life and reduce downtime.

Solution:
  • Redbak® Ultra achieved a 4 set average life of ~ 7.75m BCMs
Results:
  • A 57% increase in Rope Life
  • +62% increase in rope life over our standard Tuff 6 hoist ropes
