Auxiliary/ whip hoist
The auxiliary hoist ropes on these cranes are multiple reeved to enable lifting of heavy loads offshore or within the ports. Bridon-Bekaerts range of single layer 6 and 8 stranded ropes are routinely used in this application, in some instances where the ropes are operating on single or two part reeving arrangements rotation resistant multi-strand ropes may be required.
