The Dyform 4 design, featuring a synthetic core, provides up to 80% more lifting cycles compared to conventional 4-strand rope
Bridon-Bekaert Ropes Group (BBRG) is now offering Dyform 4, a compacted, single-layer rope around a synthetic core, offering rotation and
wear resistance. Ideal for unloading type deck cranes, Dyform 4 is available globally.
Travis Buck, Global Segment Director of Cranes and Industrial, says, “Dyform 4 compliments our existing product portfolio extremely well by
addressing specific technical requirements that satisfies even the harshest working conditions with dynamic impact loads, specifically for
unloading type deck cranes (bulk handling).”
Compared to conventional 4-strand ropes, Dyform 4 has a higher minimum breaking force. Dyform 4 is tested in service to provide up to 80%
more lifting cycles before reaching broken wire removal criteria, and has substantially less diameter reduction, resulting in longer life of sheave
and drum grooves. Dyform 4’s abrasion resistance is up to 50% better than alternative multistrand rotation-resistant ropes.
BBRG understands the demanding requirements of the port and maritime industry, and offers total cost solutions. Working together with
crane manufacturers, BBRG is one of the most trusted and reliable suppliers of ropes and solutions to the industry.
